Projects
Our club is involved in a variety of projects that involve fundraising, community service, and assisting children locally and worldwide.  Check the upcoming events section of our website to see about getting involved in an upcoming project.  Below are the projects in which we are currently involved:

98.1 KVET Radiothon The two-day event is broadcasted live from the Dell Children’s Hospital lobby and features stories of miracles and hope by patients, families and medical staff. Funds raised for the event support children's healthcare in the Central Texas area. William Witt
BookSpring Book Collection BookSpring is the non-profit organization created from the merger of Reading is Fundamental of Austin and Capital Area Reach Out and Read. Books are sold for $.25 and the proceeds benefit local elementary schools. Ira Fariss
Buckner Villas Retirement Communities Birthday Par Residents are given cards and served desserts and refreshments at this bi-monthly party that celebrates anyone with with a birthday in that month at the Meadows Assisted Living Center and the Campbell Center Nursing Facility. Bill Powell
Campbell Center at Buckner Villas Men's Breakfast Volunteers help with the men's breakfast and interact with residents. Bill Powell
CKI Event Sponsorship Each year, CKI members from The University of Texas at Austin attend Texas-Oklahoma District and Circle K International events that include: T-O District Summer Reunion, CKI Large Scale Service Project and Convention, T-O District Fall Retreat, T-O District Convention, and Weekend Officer Workshop to learn about service-leadership and to make lifelong friendships. Our club funds one-third of the cost per member to attend events. John Cano
CKI Scholarships Each year our club allocates $1000 to be given as one scholarship or two $500 scholarships to members of the CKI Chapter of The University of Texas at Austin. John Cano
Fans for the Needy Our club purchases box fans to be distributed to the needy during the hot summer months. Bill Powell
FFA Donations Each year our club allocates $100 to be donated to the FFA. John Boles
Halloween Safety Education Each year we provide hundreds of bags to children at Davis Elementary during their annual jump rope contest. Carol Powell
Jr. ROTC Scholarship Each year our club allocates $100 for an outstanding Jr. ROTC member. John Boles
Safety Book Distribution Coloring and activity books (English and Spanish) from the Save a Life program of the Texas Department of Transportation are distributed to thousands of children in the Austin area to encourage kids to buckle up and learn booster seat safety. Bill Powell
The Settlement Home for Children Each year our club donates fresh fruit from our fruit sale to The Settlement Home for Children. Ira Fariss
